ARE YOU HAVING A JOB DAY ?

I have had days ,weeks and even months when things just went wrong. One recent week was when a tree fell on the house, the electricty went of and the weather lingered at over a 100 dereesein drough conditions. The thought came to mind : Im having a JOB week .
  Why do bad things happon to good people ? Some times our Heavenly Father allows difficult things in our life to test our love for him, do we see a big problum and a little God or do we see a big God and a little problum ?
 Job was a rightious man but God allowed him to be tested by satens devices. Job suffered increadable circomstances but he stood the test and was blessed for standing and not giving in to his circomstances.
 Now our trials are not uasually directed by saten. They are the trials of life that come our way to mature us,build our faith to trust in our Heavenly Father and some times to spank us becuse we are not on the right path or doing something that is perhaps sinfull. After all God does not want spoilt Kids. What would happon to our children if we never diciplined them ? Would they mature into respectfull ,Loving, Careng , God fearing adults? These trials are allways for a purpose that we need in our lives.
 The Apostle Paul had many trials. In Romans ch 5 V 3 and 4 he says: V3 We can rejoyce too when we run into problums and trials,for we know that they help us develope endurance V4 and endurance developes stringth of character  and character stringthens are confident hope of salvation.
 There are also times we have troubles becuse our Hevenly Father wants us to see that there is something in our life that should not be ,like a bad habit ,Greed, lack of patience, selfishness ,or God is trying to move us from point A to point B .
 Timothy Ch 2 V 23 says  Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from these things , he will be a vessel for honor, sancified, usefull to the master, prepared for every good work.
  Another reason for trials in our life is that we have moved away  from Gods grace. Have you ever thought how little you read the Bible, prayed, or went to church when things are going along nicely? . But as soon as things start going wrong we run to God for help . WE need to have a constant realationship with our Father in Heaven after all Jesus our saviour paid the price for our sins so that we could have a realationship with the father ,Son and Holy Spirit.

WHO IS THE CHRISTIAN ?

Through the years of observation, I have come to the conclusion that there are three catagories that can come under the heading of Christian, but note a title does not necessarly discribe the believer. Its the life style that does!
  The first group of people who claim they are a Christian ,Are the ones that say I believe in God, but don't have a clue who he is. They celibrate Christmas, recognize Jesus's birth, buy new clothes for Easter, have an egg hunt for the kids, and mayby, go to church once a year on Easter, but live no different then a nonbeliever.
 The second group of people are the ones that may go to church but their motives are because it looks good just in case anyone is noticing their life style. They may pray , especally when things are going wrong, They may even thumb through the Bible and read it ocassionally if they have done something that is on their mind and want to ease their guilty conscience. They may even teach a class, or have the pastor over for dinner, because, again , it looks good! However, their life style during the week isn't any different then the nonbeliever.
 THE THIRD Group are the REAL BELIEVERS. They are the born again Christians, In John, Chapter 3, Verse 3, Jesus said : I tell you the truth, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom Of God. Are You asking what is born again? It's when a person accepts the teaching of the Bible and asks Jesus to take control of their lives and come into their hearts, asking forgiveness for their sins, and recognizing that Jesus died on the cross in our place, and accepting his sacrifice for us. This begins a new life, and a born again experience, old things are passed away and a new way of thinking begins. The Lord then begins to change us from the inside out and we become a new creature in Christ Jesus. Thus, a Born again believer, we change our life style, fellowship  with other Christians , learn about the word of God through the Bible, change old habits that are sinful..., A new life emerges, a new hope of eternal life with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, a new peace grows in our hearts!        Until next time, keep near to God

Faith and Trust in God

Lets take a look at faith and trust and what the Bible teaches concerning the subjects.
There are several definitions of Faith. In the Hebrew language in the old testament.Many times it talks about broken faith. Whats broken Faith ? The word faith in the old text means in many verses  trustworthiness. Example; Malachi Chapter 2 Verse 10 : Have we all one father? Did one God create us? Why do we profane the covenant of our fathers by breaking Faith ( trustworthiness) with one another. In this context its talking about personal integrity ,like, not keeping  our word in an agreement. In old testament times it was a great sin to not keep your faith  or word. I wonder how people would fair in today's world when only a few keep their word.
 Now the New Testament refers to faith that doesn't have anything to do with keeping our word. It teaches about how we perceive things. In Hebrews Chapter 11 verse 1 states : Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Then in Hebrews 11 verse 3 its says: By faith we understand that the universe was formed at Gods command ,so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible .  We understand faith is believing in something you can not see. Its all about trust in who God is!
 Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 7 Says By faith Noah when warned about things not yet seen in Holy fear built an ark.  The people of that time hadn't ever seen rain . The earth was watered my the morning dew, So we can imagine the fear they felt when it started to rain and water started spewing from underground springs. Noah had faith in what God told him and that he would take care of  him and his family.He trusted in God! This kind of faith is what God wants from us . Trusting that God is in control no matter what we are going through and having faith that he will see us through all difficult circumstances and Give us peace in all things.
 Jesus said in John Chapter 14 verse 27 Peace I leave you ; My peace I give to you . I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid .
 When we put our trust in our savior Jesus he will give us his peace ! How simple is that!
If We worry and are thinking about a subject that we don't have an answer for and you think about it constantly and never come up with a workable answer, Jesus said in Matthew Chapter 6 verse 34  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its self. Each day has enough trouble of its own . So if we trust that God has our life in his hands and having faith that he will work  out what ever comes across our path, we can find peace that can only come through giving what causes us to worry to God and resting in the faith that he will work things out!

Signs of the times, War, Weather & Weeping

 Are we having troubled times, bad days,etc? Ever wonder why difficult circumstances arrive in your life?  We say, what am I doing to deserve this?  I'm a good person ! Have you noticed when things are going well how little time we spend in prayer, reading the bible, or just meditating on Gods word?  Think about the Jewish people of old. Numerous times ,they put God on the back burner &  when they did , he always allowed them to be led into captivity and enslaved in a foreign land. God lifted his hedge of protection from them and allowed them to endure troubled times,until they cried out in repentance for their negligence's with their relationship with God.They had chosen idol worship and pagan rituals.. Now we too, have idol worship. Hollywood, money, power, personal recognition" Look at me see what I have accomplished! We have nothing and are nothing except by the grace of God!
 America was founded on the principals laid down for us by the word of God in the holy Bible. The very place our country's founders dedicated this country to  God , is the exact place where 9 /11 occurred! Is God lifting his hedge of protection from this nation ? Have we turned away from God by allowing abortion, gays to marry, Greed, and corruption in our government to mention a few. Its something to ponder. The Bible teaches that we as Christians must live by the principals taught in the Bible. Are we doing that ? In Isaiah Ch 13 V 11 Its states I will punish the world for its evil , the wicked for their sins . I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless: That's the bad news. The Good news is the true believer in Jesus for the redemption of their sins ,will have a hope that those that indulge in the worlds folly don't have ! Sad to say , the ones that refuse to acknowledge Jesus sacrifice for their sins & except him as personal savior for their lives will be eternally lost, and eternity is a long time!
Time is coming to a close . Jesus return is at the door . Where do you stand? Have you cleaned out the closet of your heart ? This is the time of total commitment. Not a lukewarm walk with God that finds us running to the cross when things in our  life gets bad. Rev 3 Ch 16 states so because you are lukewarm-neither hot or cold I'm about to spit you out of my mouth.
Rev Ch 3 V 19 says those whom I love I rebuke and discipline, so be earnest and repent. Here I am ,I stand at the door and knock .
 Eternity is a long time, the spirit and soul never dies where you spend it , depends on You!

A Testamony for the Worrier

Check out Mathew ch 6 v 25 and Ch 6V 34
 Worry is one of the devils greatest weapons. It will steal your sleep, your joy your contentment and your happiness. We can become so rapped up in worry about tomorrow or even about yesterday that we never find peace today! And whats so ridiculous is that we often worry about things that will never happen!
Statistics are as follows 40% of people worry about things that never happen,30% concerns things that cant be changed, 12% worry about criticism that is mostly untrue, and 10% relate to health and that can worsen when you worry. ONLY 8% are Legitimate concerns that we can do something about!
 Worry is like putting your car or truck in neutral and revving the engine. Its burns gas but it doesn't get you any where.
 Worry exhibits a lack of trust in God. Worry says Ive got a problem and I don't think God can take care of me through it. Worry effects our relationship's.One of my daughters , Taunya, not to long ago told me  that when I was raising the children I drove her crazy When I was worrying about something I would walk through the house and take deep breaths and sigh..In turn it would upset her as she knew I was troubled &
 it probably effected the rest of the kids too. Knowing a family member is worrying effects the whole family and our relationship with others. I could not express happiness or joy in the Lord when I was worrying.I was dead in my Testimony. Its interesting to note that the word worry comes from an Anglo- Saxon word meaning to choke or strangle.
 How do we concur this device of the devil? The Bible teaches us to live one day at a time,don't borrow tomorrows problems today.Don't do the WHAT IF"s just deal with the WHAT IS ! The most important thing is your salvation and your walk with the Lord.
Do I worry NO, I could but it wont accomplish anything and I don't want to give Satan the opportunity to steal my peace and joy in the Lord.

Prov ch 3 V 5&6 Stated Trust in the lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding,in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight!         Until next time may God Keep you in his peace !

Bible's View of Society in the End Times

We recently in the U.S.,have had to take a hard look at our culture and its demise.
 People are calling out for gun control, stricter,laws, and more enforcement..
 These violent trends are not confined to America, its everywhere . All over the world. We are having civil wars killing thousands, aids, pirates on the seas,and individual crimes, murders, thefts, rapes, robberies, kidnappings and drug crimes to name a few.
 The Bible talks abouts the culture in the Last days. It is interesting ,how close the Bible's description is about the life style of people in the end times as it is today. Think about the 20 precious children
 and 6 adults that were murdered at school and the 15 year old killing his Mom, Dad and 3 siblings. Think about the drug addictions and the cartel that support their habits,Do you think its going to get any better?
 Lets look at what the Bible says about society just before the return of Jesus for his church , his Bride.
 1st Timothy Ch 4 V 1 and 2  The spirit clearly says that in the latter times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons V2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars whose conscience's have been scared as with a hot iron.
 One would ask how can people murder their own family members or spray flammable substances on an old lady in an elevator setting her on fire? or gang raping a young girl? I'll tell you why , they have no conscience. That's a fact not an  assumption !
 2nd Timothy Ch 3 V1-4 states this: But Mark this, There will be terrible times in the last days  V2 People will be lovers of themselves,lovers of money ,boastful, proud , abusers, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy with out love, unforgiving,slanderous, without self control, brutal,not lovers of good , treacherous, rash, conceited,Lovers of pleasure rather then lovers of God.
 Now look at our culture,see anything familiar ? Next time I will discuss how we got to this place and is there any hope.   May God keep you in his care !

END TIMES? ARE THEY HERE?

I have always felt that Christ return would be in my life time. However, its not about feeling its about fact!
 What are the facts? We must go to the word of God to get our information. No Mayan temple writings or star gazers will have the answers. Only God the father of all things has the final say.
We look within the holy scriptures to seek the information.There are a number of factors to consider. First are the signs of wickedness and evil.
 What was the cause for God to destroy almost all of mankind ,with the exception of Noah and his family? In Genesis ch 6 V 5 it states. The lord saw how great mans wickedness on the earth had become and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.Ch6 V11says Now the earth was corrupt in Gods sight and was full of violence.
In Matthew  ch 24 v37 it says , as it was in the days of Noah so will it be at the coming of the son of man ( That's Jesus return and him speaking) .
 Now the grievous, hanus, violent crimes of today's world is almost beyond belief .Innocent lives being snatched away by evil people , mentally imbalanced,with conscience's seared! As I look at the moral fabric of society today I wonder how much worse can it get before God says enough and sends his son to retrieve the born again believers in to heaven in a twinkling of an eye  and the tribulation begins.
 The next sign of the end times is in Matthew ch 24 V 7 : Nations will rise against nations and Kingdom against Kingdom. We look at the different nations and types of governments that are fighting against each other with people rebelling against their own governments  and civil wars .North Korea and Iran saying they will put an end to the US and Israel.
 The next sign is famines and droughts earth quakes in various places . I know what you are thinking,OH we always have had these circumstances. I say the scriptures state, when all these things happen near the same time Christ coming  is at hand . Jesus himself said in Matthew ch 24V 33 Even so when you see all these things you will know that it is near right at the door.In Matthew 24 V 12 Because of the increase of wickedness the love of most will grow cold V 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. V14 and this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations and then the end will come. We are reaching millions with  Satellite TV and  Evangelism soon all will know that Jesus came to save all mankind from their sins and all we have to do is follow Jesus teachings ,ask him to come into our lives ,confess our sins and we will have his promous of eternal life with him.       Until next time may you seek the one that gave his life for you.....Jesus.

Does God punish us?

  In some instances in the Bible we see Gods Judgement. In the case of Noah and the flood and in Sodom & Gomorrah. He destroyed because of the wickedness of the people.
But what about every day folks like you and me ? I say our heavenly father is like any parent.
1st Corinthians Ch 2 V 19 says : as many as I love,I rebuke and chasten be zealous therefore, and repent. In Hebrews Ch 12 V 6 It states for whom the Lord Loveth he chasten.
 If we as parents did not discipline our children ,what kind of child would he or she become ? Likewise , God disciplines us in love and teaches us how to behave. As Our Little ones start walking they are always reaching for something that isn't good for them, pulling things off tables or trying to touching things that are hot. I don't know how many times I have said No No don't touch!! For their safety. Like wise the Lord speaks to us in a still small voice when we are tempted or on the wrong path " No Child don't touch" Many times we suffer from our bad choices not hearing the Fathers warnings. Hebrews Ch 12 V 10 says our Fathers disciplines us for good a little while as they thought best but God disciplines for our good that we may share in his holiness V 11 No Discipline seems pleasant  at the time ,but painful, later on ,however it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
 When I personally have gone through hard experiences ,it was in the difficult times that I reached out to God for strength and safety . When everything is going our way , how much time do we spend seeking Gods love and guidance?
 Sometimes our heavenly father has to shake our comfort zone to get our attention . We tend to get caught up in our own lives that we don't have time to consider what God mite be trying to do in our lives.    Until next time, may the Lord Bless and keep you....

Gods Grace, What is it ?

 Defination; To favor and to give benefits.

 I look at grace as Gods Mercy to me as unworthy as I am, he still sent his only son to redeam my sorry soul becuse he loved me so very much!
 Redemption is someone else paying for a debt I owe personally. Just like someone else paying off my credit card debt . I carried the debt of sin in my life and in order to have that removed God in his Grace and mercy sent his son to pay the price for my sin with his life, allowing me to be sin free as long as I accepted the fact. With out that payment I would carry my sin, or debt,  into eternity. What is required in return is to turn my life over to the payer of my debt, who is Jesus,the one who died for all mankind's debt.
 In The Bible, John Ch. 3 V 16 & 17 tells us that For God so loved the world  that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. V 17, For God did not send his son into the world to condem the world but to save the world through him.
 Yet Mankind still refuses to see God's grace becuse they think their life is good enough the way it is and they think they will never have to be accountable for their actions or debts of sin. However some day they will be held accountable, but if  you have allowed Jesus to pay your debt of sin, you are home free, so to speak. If you haven't ....Eternity is a long time to be seperated from anything good. Your soul ( Your personality) will live forever someplace . The best place is with Jesus!

God is in Control

 With the current events so volatile, one must ask ourselves ,What in the world is going on? Company's dumping employees because they cant afford buying health insurance for them ,Israel in turmoil, Lawlessness, Immorality rampit, and things in our lives we cant fix.
 Where is God in all this?
 Deuteronomy ch 31 V 6 states : Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you ,he will never leave you or forsake you.
 Jesus is called the prince of peace. We can have that peace even if the world is in turmoil and our lives are on uncertain pathways.
John ch 16 V 33; Jesus said : I have told you these things so that in me  you may have peace . In this world you may have trouble ,but take heart, I have overcome the world!  In other words,With trust in Jesus we too can over come the obstacles in our lives. Its a matter of following the footsteps of our savior and understanding if we put our life in his capable hands we will be over comers. Its not a matter of what we want always but  its the path that Gods has for us  He  knows what is best for us Because He is in control!

What Is the kingdom of God?

Matthew Ch 6 V 31
So Do not worry, saying, what shall we eat or what shall we wear.(V31) for the pagans ( Non Believers) run after all these things and your heavenly Father knows that you have need of them, V33.. But SEEK FIRST his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well V34 Therefore do not worry about Tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its self.... Each day has enough trouble of its own.
 Ok Then, What and where is the kingdom of God? This is an important subject . If you look in the back of your bible for the references, you will find an astounding number of references on the Kingdom. Now when we think of a kingdom in earthly terms ,we think of a government ,a structured society with rules and guidelines to form a social structure.
So whats Gods ? Its simply the church ! Its the body of believers that has excepted Christs sacrifice on the cross for our sins. Note Verse 33 also says and his righteousness. Whats that? Simply put, RIGHT LIVING by the moral code as taught in the bible.
 IN today's culture what was once wrong is now execeptable. Having a family (Children) with out being married,gay relationship's,The Moslem's say to lie is OK as long as it promotes Islam .We all can think of things that are excepted in society but are condemned in Gods holy word. These are true signs of the end times.When man lives for his self and disregards Gods love and grace to do his own thing.
 God tells us that right living ( Righteousness) is the key to an eternity with him in a kingdom ruled by the Son of God himself. He paid the price by his blood to redeem mankind from his sin and all he asked is to let him into our life and hearts and ask forgiveness for our sins and for him  to help us live a righteous life and we will be in his kingdom....Welcome to the family of God!.... for prayer requests or questions email onebyoneministrys@ymail.com...      untill  next time may God keep you in his care !

What is Gods will for me ?

In The Lords Prayer Matt. Ch 6 verse 10 it word states " Your Kingdom come YOUR WILL  be done.
Ephesians 5 V 15 to 17  Is understanding what the Lords will is Verse 15 says , be very careful then, how you live ,not as the unwise but as the wise.

James Ch 4 V 15  states ; Instead you ought to say "If it is the Lords will ,we will do this or that.

Psalm Ch 143 V 10 Teach me to do your will for you are my God may your good spirit lead me on to level ground.

Teach me to be steady in my faith with no ups or downs stable in Christ Jesus Not on the path, off the path , not luke warm or cold but on fire with the zeal for God in our hearts .

God has a plan for each one of us as believers. He has a plan for every man women and child on earth that is or will ever live on earth. We have free will to find it and follow it or not.

Ephesians Ch 1 V 11  In him we were also chosen,having been predestined according to the plan of him who works everything in conformity with the purpose of his WILL..... In Him ? In Who?  In Christ Jesus !

We step on to the path of Gods will when we except Jesus as personal savior . Its there, we began our journey following the will of God through Jesus

Sometimes that pathway may lead us into trouble times. Lets look at Joseph, in Genesis ch 37 V 1 and in ending in ch 50 A wonderful look at Gods Plan or will  at work.

At 17 years old Joseph was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers. and after a time he became in charge of all Egypt  It was Gods will he was sent there to save Israel from starvation from a great famine. Take time to read the whole story its a marvelous view of Gods will .

Now when we are going through difficult times its hard to think I'm in Gods will . But Gods ways are not are not our ways and sometimes to get us from point A to point B he uses difficulty in our lives to move us ,strengthen us and teach us. I'm sure Joseph though life wasn't fair as would I in the same place. However ,each of us will have our own difficult times  it may be learning something or to move us in another direction ,but rest assured Gods plan for your life is for your good and the good of those that love him and those that will find him in the future !  Until next time may God richly bless you..

New years Resolution verses new years commitment

Resolution, by Websters definition as the world sees it , is an act of resolving something.
People Say I'm going to make a new year resolution. Did that myself ! But now as a Christian I say I'm going to make a commitment .Is there a difference? You bet there is . When I made a resolution, before I came to know Jesus as savior, I tried to do it by my own strength. However today my commitments are in Gods strength. The definition of commitment is to secede or to accomplish what ever you set out to do.
2nd Chronicles ch 16 V 9; For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those hearts that are fully committed to him.You see, God give us the strength to achieve our goals.
We need to make one of our commitments in 2012 to share the love of God to those who don't know him and to be available to help those individuals that are hurting and in need of encouragement. There are precious people out there that don't know how much God loves them .We as Christians have the opportunity to tell them.. may God richly bless your New year!

Trust In the Lord

We Trust God that we are saved through the blood of Christ. That we are heaven bound.But do we trust him when we are sick,When our month is longer then our paycheck,When something breaks down & we don't have the money to fix it?
 Do we entrust him with our day when we first wake up, do we trust him to watch over our kids, Do we trust him to save our unsaved loved ones?
Psalm 20 V 7&8 ,Isaiah 12 V2&3 Prov 28 V 26. Please read and be advised.
 Trust is a requirement for our christian walk. Commit everything in trust to the Lord.
Trusting God is the match that lights my faith to move forward and will move the mountains in my life.
Do you have a mountain in your life? Commit it to God, trusting with faith he will make it into a mole hill!    May Gods rich blessings be yours today and every day!

Charactor in Action

We Have been discussing the last days in dept now lets us look at the corrector that God requires us to have in order for us to gain heaven as our reward.
Romans Ch 12 V 9 Let love be without Hypocesy ( Sincere) Abhor ( Hate) which is evil, cling to what is good
V10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love . Honor one another above yourselves.
Rom 12 V 13 Share with Gods people who are in Need . Practice hospitality .
I believe actions speak louder then words .. If there is some one you know in need , Help them !
 I have started a movement in my church each week , we make a point to do a random act of kindness to someone in our community , I believe it is something that will go from person to person resulting in more people each day doing small kindnesses to their neighbors ... Try it it works!
Rom 12 V 15 Rejoice with them that do rejoicee and weep with those that weep. Practice compassion . Its easy to be around happy people , they really don't need the help ,but the one that is going through a crises is the one that needs your support.Be there for them, Jesus would !
Rom 12V12 Rejoicing in Hope ,Patient in tribulation continuing diligently in prayer..These are some of the characteristics that will move you closer to heaven.... Until next time may God richly bless you ...

End of Days series #3

Just why did God saved Noah from the flood or Gods Judgement?
 Gen. Ch 6 V 9 Noah was a righteous man blameless among the people of his time. What made Him righteous? What did he do to save himself and his family from the flood. Remember the earth was filled with  violence, idolatry, & evil thinking. Reminds me of today's society!
Noah was righteous and Blameless.How would we  describe who he was ? Well from the scriptures it indicates he was a Godly man, Faultless ,Blameless, unblemished by the evil around him.
 If Noah escaped the flood then his personality and his relationship with God was the reason for his escape along with his wife ,sons and their wives. The end of Days Series # 2

Last week I accidentally put the first entry of this series on my horse blog ,after thinking about it I decided to leave it where it is as Horse People are interested in Bible thoughts too! So to get the first entry of this series please go to www.horsetalessalestips.blogspot.com .

 Now in Genesis ch 6 V 5 ;  And God saw the wickedness of man was great on the earth . Imagination ( Reasoning) of the thoughts was only evil continually. The next verse stated God was grieved in his heart.

Ch 6 V 9: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations and Noah walked with God.

Ch 6 V12; The earth was also corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence.

Matt Ch;24 V 37  But as the days of Noah were ,so shell also the coming of the Son of man( Jesus) be....

As we look at these scriptures does there seem to be something familiar about these statements?
Look at our culture today...Do our children have the same respect as we did when we were kids?
Does our education system teach morals ,and honor or tolerance and disrespect for our values that we knew as children?
 Do we see more lawlessness and crime and less moral conscious or are we indifferent to tradigy because we see so much of it . Are these things what happened in the days of Noah?  What will happen next ? Where do we stand? will it get worse ? What will God do about it .... this is what we will explore in the next few  entries   Until next time may God keep you in his care ....

Again , about love

In My last entry I said I was going to talk about what was NOT love , however as I thought about it I realized that all one has to do is watch the 6  O'Clock news . There will be lots of unloving stuff there!
I feel the need to discuss that love is most well served when we attach something to it .Like action... We can say we love everyone or everything but not showing something that demonstrates that love doesn't do much  . Ist John Ch 3 - V 16 states This is how we know what love is ; Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And In Ist John Ch 3 - V 18. Dear children let us not love with words or tongue but with action & truth.
Love requires action if we are to demonstrate Christian values . It's simple, a phone call to someone who is sick, a card of thanks to someone that has been kind to you, a hug for a friend, an offer of a helping hand , a gift, Groceries for a family in need , on and on... Love needs to be demonstrated in action . We live in a culture that has become selfserving, we live in little boxed worlds that don't reach out to others and its time to get back to the good neighbor mentality  and start changing the world, one good deed at a time.... What is love ?

What do you call Love? Well Love is Patient 1Cor 13 V's 4-8 It is Kind , It is Humble,Its Not self serving but serves others. A person that loves puts others before themselves.A person that has love in their life has a Christ like attitude. They comfort others. they help others at all costs.They listen to others with compassion and kindness,they have a heart after God!  Next time we will look at what Love Isn't!

Children of today

In Proverbs ch 22V;6 Its states Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it!
 I wonder, when I see so many undisciplined children , what will become of them when they are older.
 I hear of  some  children in schools that  are hard to teach because they have not been taught Boundaries. They are also not taught how to deal with disappointments. then when they become adults they become unglued when they have to face hardships or disappointments.
We as parents have the responsibility to teach Bible principles to our children so they will have the knowledge to conduct their lives in a productive honorable  manor.
Jeremiah Ch:17 V:10 I The Lord search the heart and examine the mind , to reward a man according to his conduct. according to what his deeds deserve! Read the Bible to your children , dicipline them and teach them that disappointment's in life pass, and to look forward to what Gods has planed for them !    Until next time may God give you his wisdom!

Feel Like things are comming against you?

In these troubled times ,it seems negative stuff just pile up! One thing after another and far too little positive happenings!
Isaiah ch 54 V 17 states No weapon forged against you will prevail and will refute every tongue that accuses you . This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,this is their vindication from me!
When times are hard we have a tendency to think God just doesn't care about my little troubles ,he has bigger fish to fry. YES HE DOES CARE ! 2Nd Cor Ch 10 V 4 says , The weapons we fight with, are not the weapons of the world, on the contrary,They have Devinne power to demolish Strongholds V5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that set its self up against the knowledge of God and we take CAPTIVE every thought to make it obedient to Christ . The evil one gives us suggestions that are discouraging in nature . He loves to tell us we have failed, things will never get better ,its all our fault .. The bible says he is a lier the father of lies, don't except his suggestions ,those fiery darts . Stand against them God is on your side . Give the problem to him he will carry the Load, all he asks is for you is to trust him and he will see you through! Until next time may God richly Bless you!

Services of the Church

We will discuss the order of Church services. They vary from denomination to denomination and fellowship group . However for the most part they are Worship,Prayer, and the word of God... I will attempt to discuss each part separately and what the functions are for the believer . First let us look at worship , some call it song service ,but In my opinion it should be worship not just singing happy songs and when I get to Heaven...Our Mind set should be on our heavenly Father in Praise and adoration for all he has done for us! Heb 12;28 States
Therefore ,since we are receiving a Kingdom that can not be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God!
2nd Samuel 22:50 states Therefore I will praise you O Lord among the nations, I will sing praises to your name!
1St Chron: 16:23 Sing to him,Sing praises to him,Tell of all his wonderful acts..
We must have our minds and our hearts in tune with our Heavenly Father in adoration and honor. Next time we will discuss Prayer until then may God keep you in his care & Bless you!

Are You A Light ?

Matt 5:V14 Jesus said , You are the light of the world. Matt; 5: V 16 In The same way let your light shine before men,that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
In many cases we are the only Jesus some people will ever see . They may not attend a church or even have a Christian background . Our lives , and how we conduct our daily life can be a mirror of the light that Jesus talked about in the scriptures . The charactor of Jesus must be a strong influence on everything we do or say .. If we miss represent our Lord it could be a stumbling block to those that don't know Jesus as Lord .. On the other hand if we represent our Lord well ,it may be the drawing process That brings an unbeliever to the light... Like a Moth, drown to the light in the darkness ,may we be the light that draws men and women to Christ.

Earthquakes in Various places!!

In the Bibles Book of Matthew Chapter 24 V 7 It states Nations will rise against nations,and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and EARTHQUAKES in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains..Jesus himself spoke of what to watch for in the last days before the tribulation and the rapture of the church.. We as Christians need to be mindful of these difficult times, as they are a sign of this age in time to close . Pray for love ones , neighbors, and friends that they will come to see the times we are living in. Pray also for the people of Heiti !

2012 the end or what??

We hear so much about 2012 ,that one wonders if it is correct, or just another crazy idea. I intend to go over the scriptures in the bible for then next several entries and we shell look what God has to say about this subject... Then you can draw your conclusions.
I will start with Matt. 24.37: As It was in the days of Noah so will it be of the coming of the Son of man. Continue to read on your own to V;44
First of all , we need to look at the culture in that day , It was evil, lawless, ungodly to name a few, And today all one has to do is look across the Internet to experience filthy language , Porn, gambling , just to name a few.. The same scenario! God cleansed the earth with the flood , what will he do next... So many scriptures address this. Remember Noah warned the people of the coming disaster but they wouldn't listen, just as there are scoffers today ! There is a change coming and isn't with Obama... The Lord has his warnings in the Bible, but also his shelter and escape ... 2012 ? Well we will not know the day or the hour , but the time and the season. We will have evidence of a change coming. Next time we will discuss this further... until then ,May God Keep you in his care!

Is God in Control ... you Bet he is!

As we look around us , we hear about political upheaval, children getting snatched away from their family's , people out of work and wars. One has to wonder what in the world is going on?

My heart breaks at some of the stories I hear when I get prayer requests...The Bible tell us it rains on the just and the unjust and God is no respecter of persons ,but we still ask why.. Perhaps its not for us to know in these last days.

I think ,if all this grieves me ,what does it do to God own heart.. In second Corinthians V: 3 the bible states : Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the father of compassion and the God of all , (V4) Who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

We need to ask our heavenly Father for the comfort he freely gives those who sincerely ask of him.

We may not understand the times we live in but God does and he has a plan that includes you and me! Until next time, may you go in Gods peace

The Choices we make!

Have you ever thought of the choices you have made? Well I have , and some blunders too. It's funny, when at times, I knew they were wrong ,I did them anyway. The results wasn't always good either! In a culture where moral decline is everywhere it seems that the wrong choices are easier to make ,after all the responsibility of ones actions just isn't there anymore. It's a do it anyway culture or if its isn't lawful just don't get caught!
God gives us choices, free will to choose what we do with our lives. In Joshua Ch. 24 V. 14 now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness . Then in Ch. 15 It states : But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourself whom you will serve. Then on in the scripture it says : but as for me and my household we will serve the Lord ! Yes It's not so popular to be a christian in some places but think ,if what the Bible says is true ,and where you spend eternity is made by the choices you make in this life then where will I go ,to Heaven when I die or to hell? The choice is mine! Until next time may God lead you in his pathways.

Wars, wars, and what next?

In Matt; Ch 24 V 6 & 7 the Bible states , You will hear of wars & Rumors of wars but see that you are not alarmed ,such things must happen ,but the end is still to come ! Nations will rise against ,kingdom's. There will be famines and earth quakes in various places.All these are the beginning of birth pains.
Having had children ,I know the signs of pending birth and as a Christian we need to know the sings of Jesus return for the believer. In Matt. Ch 24 V 27 it states, As it were in the days of Noah so will it be at the coming of the son of man.
God caused the flood to cleanse the earth of mankind's sin but spared Noah's & Family as he will the family of God just before the great tribulation! Are You watching and are you ready? Until next time , may you seek the freedom and blessing of a life through salvation in Jesus!

Are you worried?

Matt: 11 V28 states, Come to me ,all you who are weary and burdened & I will give you rest.
So many are struggling with keeping up with , job loss ,and the cost of living in general. We understand .We live on a retirement fixed income . Our hearts go out to the ones that have lost their jobs, and even their homes. I find comfort in the word of God! Have you ever looked up all the scriptures that speak of Gods love ? There are more then any other as far as I know. God Loves us, he cares about our struggles. In Phil. Ch 4 V: 19 he states , My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Trust God ,he is our father, he will see us through this economic mess .He, and he ,alone has all the answers! Until next time may God keep you in his care!

What is going on?

As I watch the news on politics, economy and everyday tragedies . I wonder if the world has lost its mind! What is all this stuff coming to . Every day or so I see something that I express, well.., that tops all , and then, guess what,something else does top that, and I'm shocked again...People are running two and frow looking to be entertained ,find answers ,or to escape something! They seem to be never satisfied ! I read today in 1st Thes. Chap.V 11&12 ; Make it your ambition to lead a quite life, to mind your own business and work with your hands ,just as I told you (11) So that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
We hear about so many life's tragedies and yet we have the opportunity to live in peace, in quite trust in Gods grace and trusting Jesus our savior to give us hope in our everyday life. May his blessings be yours each and every day! Until next time Keep the hope!

In Troubled Times

If We look at the economy, politics,crime & joblessness one tends to get the feeling of helpless. So many things seem to be out of control.

1st Peter Chap. 5 V 7 states; Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you . I know its hard to trust God when the end of your money comes before the end of the Bills . I'm there too, but God knows are every need!

In Hebrews Ch 4 V 16 Says, Lets us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Ask The Lord ,he is there to hear you. God has a plan and cares for each one of us! Until next time may you stand firm in his love and grace!

Gods Grace!

John Ch 1 V 16 : From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.
You and I are blessed because of Jesus obedience at the cross. Today we can enjoy Gods blessings not because of what we have done but of what he has done!
Grace is free but it was not cheap. It cost God his only son. Remember John Ch 3 V 16 . God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him would not Parrish but would have eternal life! What an awesome promise!

Its a Good day!

In Psalms Ch 118 V 24 its states ; This is the day the Lord has made ; Let us rejoice & be glad in it..
Sometimes its hard to be positive when the cost of living is so high , the gas and food prices are depressing to say the least. However we have to remember God is in control!
In First John chap 3 V1 Says How Great the love the father has lavished on us that we should be called the children of God!
He knows just what is in our hearts & he cares about our struggles. Trust him he will be with you through everything!!

Am I going to heaven ?

That's a question we all ask at one time or another! Men have pondered that question through the century's.
John ch 3 V 16 states : For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him shall not Parrish but have eternal life.
Then in John Ch 6 V40 states : For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life ,and will be raised up at the last day.
What does that mean? Simple If we realise in our hearts that Jesus came to be an sin offering and die in our behalf and we except that sacrifice for our own , confess our sins to the father , take upon ourselves the principals that Jesus taught in the bible we will have eternal life in heaven.. Simple say Jesus I except your sacrifice for my sins please forgive me of my sins and come into my life and lead me from this day forth! If you have done this..... Congratulations you have just entered the family of God we will have eternity together with Jesus our savior!

Wars,Wars & more Wars

Jesus disciples asked him ,What are the the signs of your coming and the end of the age?
Mat ch 24: V 6,7,8 states: You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it you are not alarmed . Such things must happen but the end is still to come . Nations will ride up against nations ,kingdoms against Kingdoms. There will famine's and earthquakes in various places, all these are the beginning of the birth pains.
I have had 10 kids and I personally know when labor begins ,that the birth of the baby is inevitable.
The return of Jesus is also! Whats important is whether we are ready to meet him .
Jesus died in our behalf, he took upon his self on the cross our sins and died for us so we could have eternal life through him.
If we except his sacrifice and ask him to forgive us are sins and lead us in life & except him as saviour ,we will have eternal life with him.
He is coming soon . Folks the labor has begun ! Are You Ready ?

The Cost Of Things

Are you perplexed with the cost of things? Well I am ! I just shake my head when I go to the grocery store or get my utility bills & think will this inflation ever end? Yet I am reminded in the Bible Romans Ch 8; V 31 & 32 : What then shell we say in response to this ? If God is for us who can be against us? He who did not spare his own son, but gave him greaciously, gives us all things. In other words Gods is control and Knows our needs:

Energy drinks,bars & pills

Everyone seems to be tired! Tired of something. Too much work, politics, depressing news or just plain worn out!
We run to the grocery store & buy energy drinks, protein bars or that vitamin that hopeful will give the boost we need to get through the day, yet we fail to go to the source of all creation, the one that made us who we are.
Psalm Ch 29 V 11 says ; The Lord gives strength to his people: the Lord blesses his people with peace
Phil Ch: 4 V 13: I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Perhaps instead of that bottle of energy stuff, we would be better served if we stopped for a few minutes and read the bible and reflected on what Jesus did for us & The hope he has provided . That can surly can put a spring in our step , joy for our future and renew us in Many ways!

In A Changing World

We live in a world that is changing so fast one can hardly keep up. Technology, socially, & environmental issues are moving forward at a pace that hardly any one can keep up with. Even people's thoughts , insites, and opinions are giving way to new ideas. How ever if you feel a little overwhelmed with all this new thinking ...I know one that doesn't change with the trends ...In James Ch 1 V 16 & 17 The bible teaches Don't be deceived, my brothers, Every good & Perfect gift is from the father of heavenly lights, who does NOT CHANGE like shifting shadows.
I look for stability in a changing world. I find it in the word of God. Jesus reveled to us how to live in a world that is troubling, he leaves us with hope of eternal life through him ... Until next time may God Give you his unchanging Peace.
